Your data stays private

BookThread stores all your threads, notes, quotes, and photos locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, your data is synced to your personal iCloud account — it is never uploaded to any third-party server.

No account required

BookThread does not require sign-in and does not collect any personal information such as your name or email address. iCloud sync uses your existing Apple ID and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Photos and images

Photos you add to threads are stored on your device. GIFs are fetched from Klipy when you search for one; no reading data is shared with Klipy.

Data deletion

Your reading data can be removed at any time by deleting individual threads within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud data, delete the app and then remove its data from iCloud Drive in your device settings.
